Need

Complete rebranding to increase awareness of and support for The Foundation’s programs among members of the community and potential corporate donors.

Background

Established in 1987, The Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides resources and programs to the school district. Through innovative programs and projects, the Foundation provides more than $1.5 million annually to area schools to help create a brighter future and ensure a quality education for every student.

Strategy

The goal for rebranding was to give The Foundation a distinctive identity that visually communicates the organization’s mission in a concise, compelling manner. Deliverables included a logo, corporate identity (stationary and business cards), collateral and a completely redesigned Web site.

Action

The new logo and overall design style carries through all channels and points of contact. The logo consists of stylized figures of an adult and child reading a book. Brand colors of light green and medium blue present a fresh, uplifting appearance representing the potential of children to excel when given the necessary support and guidance. The Web site was reconfigured as an engaging, interactive resource for community members, local business interests and educators to become involved with or benefit from The Foundation’s programs.

Result

Now positioned to better build a sense of affinity among members of the community to support its programs, The Foundation has relaunched its brand to positive response from local civic, business and educational leaders – generating the enthusiasm that will drive the organization to reach its goal of enhancing education.
