Technetium Creative Launches New Phi Kappa Psi Web Site

MAITLAND, FLA., April 11, 2008: Technetium Creative, LLC, has launched the Web site for the Phi Kappa Psi New York Beta Chapter fraternity after a complete redesign. The new site, www.suphipsi.com, enables social networking among alumni wherever they are in the world, and serves as the online community base for both alumni and current undergraduate brothers.

Technetium Creative is a marketing and creative design agency in Maitland, Fla. Joe Forgét, President of Technetium Creative, is a brother of the New York Beta Chapter.

"When I learned about the opportunity to create a new Web site for the Phi Kappa Psi New York Beta Chapter, I considered it a way of giving back to my fraternity, which provides great benefits and resources to its brothers and to the greater community," Forgét said. "It was a formative part of my college experience, and continues to have an important role in my life. On a personal level, it is an honor to give the New York Beta Chapter the online presence it needs in order to be the center of a community where alumni can stay in contact with each other and support the fraternity."

The home page of the new site features a rotating slide show of scenes from the NY Beta Chapter House. Designed for easy navigation, the site has single-click access to background on the fraternity and the New York Beta Chapter; recruitment, biographies on current undergraduate brothers; alumni information; events; housing; contact information and by-registration member forums.

One of the premier fraternal organizations in the United States with about 100 chapters nationwide, Phi Kappa Psi was founded in 1852 at Jefferson College (now known as Washington and Jefferson University) in Canonsburg, Pa. At a worth of $30 million, its Scholarship Endowment Fund is the largest of any fraternal organization. Prominent brothers include President Woodrow Wilson, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, actor Zach Braff and Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz.

The New York Beta Chapter of Phi Kappa Psi has been on the Syracuse campus since 1884. The chapter's original charter is one of four still in existence. The chapter house at 500 University Place currently houses 30 of the 50 active brothers of NY Beta.
